Amanda Bynes Evicted From Apartment After Drug Arrest

Amanda Bynes has reportedly been evicted from her New York city apartment just days after her infamous arrest.

The troubled actress, 27, was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment after allegedly throwing a bong pipe out of her apartment window on May 24. Days later on May 27 Bynes reportedly received an eviction notice following a series of complaints stemming from her alleged marijuana use.

"[Bynes] was notified that she is no longer welcome as a tenant in the building in light of recent events," a source told In Touch magazine.

"At 9 p.m. on Tuesday, movers showed up and removed Amanda's belongings from her apartment," the insider added. "She is officially gone from the building."

The former Nickelodeon star has raised concerns for her mental well-being in recent months due to her erratic behavior, which includes throwing alleged drug-fueled parties in her apartment. A source claims the eviction has been a longtime coming particularly because residents in her apartment building were fed up with her antics.

"Even before her arrest, residents had constant complaints about the smell of marijuana coming from her apartment," the source said. "She had also cursed out residents and the doormen, and the smell of pot from her apartment was really annoying people."

While Bynes has denied using drugs, a doorman inside her apartment building recently called police, claiming she was smoking marijuana in the lobby. When police entered her high-rise apartment, the former child star allegedly tossed a foot-long bong pipe, often used to smoke marijuana, outside of her 36th floor window, police said.

Officers reportedly noted a "heavy smell of marijuana and smoke" and subsequently Bynes was arrested on charges of reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence and criminal possession of marijuana, according to NBC News.

In a separate incident, a photographer claims to have seen Bynes using illegal drugs during a drug-fueled party hosted by the troubled actress.

"She had at least a dozen hand-rolled joints on her," the photographer said. "She had them in her palm at one point — she'll smoke one halfway, put it out. Then light a new one. Then re-light the other half. It's so weird! But she is constantly smoking weed."

Another party guest, identified only as "Joe," also previously accused Bynes of using drugs, but he claims he saw her using cocaine. Bynes maintains that while drugs were present at her party, she did not use any.

"They're the ones into drugs, so they bring drugs, but I don't do them," Bynes previously said.
