In addition to ranking among the top in the nation when it comes to lust, Houston’s residents are also among the most violent, with the nation’s fifth-highest number of mass shootings from January 2023 through June 2025.
The city also has the 21st-highest violent crime rate in the nation and the 28th-highest number of aggravated assault offenses per capita, according to WalletHub.
