As reported by 9To5 Google, Canadian carrier Telus had a software update schedule that apparently revealed the coming of Android N to the LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P. It stated that the new update will be coming August 22 (Monday) this week.

Apart from the Nexus 5x and Nexus 6P, the update also revealed the scheduled Android N update of other phones. This includes various other Nexus devices, Samsung devices including the A5 and Note 3, and the Blackberry PRIV.

The outlet noted that Telus has indicated that the scheduled update had stated that the dates are subject to change. This means that there is a possibility that the Android N may not be released this week.

LG G5, Huawei P9 Limited Trial for Android N

It was reported that those with LG G5 handsets will have access to the Android N. However, The Bitbag reports that the update may only be limited to South Korea. They will need to be under certain cellular providers like the Uplus cellular network to have the Android N. Furthermore, the update will only be limited to 2,000 LG G5 users in the country.

Both Huawei and LG are reportedly having limited trials of the Android N among their smartphones. The Huawei apparently does the same thing for a limited number of Huawei P9 users.

The outlet adds that the Android N will also be used for Google Nexus 2016 devices. The flagship HTC Marlin and the entry level Sailfish will reportedly be powered by it as well but it noted that Nexus always have the latest Android OS and it is not surprising.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 to Have Android N after Three Months

Forbes noted that Samsung's flagship phablet, the Galaxy Note 7 will have the Anrdoid N soon. Specifically, the device will have the new OS update two to three months after its release date. It is not known when other big smartphone companies will get the Anrdoid N update.
