Apple iPhone 6 vs. HTC One M8 Features and Specs Comparison

It's only been a few weeks since the iPhone 6's release and its already being compared to various Android phones released earlier in the year. Samsung is mostly taking shots at the Cupertino company for its switch to bigger screens after five generations of small-screened iPhones. One smartphone being compared is HTC's One M8 flagship.

The HTC One M8 has been around for a while now, first released March earlier this year. The iPhone 6 is newer than the One M8, only having been released in late September.

The One M8 has a 5.0-inch Super LCD3 touchscreen with a 1920 x 1080 full HD screen resolution. Full HD screen resolutions seem standard in today's standards, with QHD (2560 x 1440) screens being premium.

The One M8 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset and powered by a quad-core 2.3GHz processor with an Adreno 330 GPU. It has two storage size variants, the 16GB and the 32GB and is equipped with 2GB of RAM. It has microSD card support of up to 128GB and is run by Android 4.4.2 KitKat upgradeable to 4.4.3.

The iPhone 6 on the other hand has a 4.7-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with a 1334 x 750 screen resolution. While pixel density is considerably lower than most larger phones of its class, it lends its clarity and sharpness to its Retina display.

It is run by Apple's newer 64-bit A8 chipset and powered by a dual-core 1.4GHz processor and a PowerVR GX6450 GPU. It has three internal storage variants – the 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB – and has 1GB of RAM. As with previous iPhone models, the iPhone 6 does not support microSD cards.
