'Arrow' Season 4 Episode 4 Recap: Things Get Heated With Captain Lance And His Resurrected Daughter
Despite the advice that Nyssa gave to Laurel, the Black Canary pushed through with her plan last week to dip her sister into the mystic Lazarus Pit. And now, the whole family has to suffer for what Laurel did to Sara in the fourth episode of The CW's hit superhero drama TV series "Arrow" Season 4.
Titled "Beyond Redemption," the synopsis posted over at The Futon Critic indicated that Laurel must deal with the repercussions for taking Sara to Nanda Parbat and have her partake on the rejuvenating powers of the Lazarus Pit. The promo video released for the episode however revealed that the Star City Police Captain Quentin Lance also has to come to terms with the changes happening to his daughter.
Out of desperation, the police officer will enlist the help of an unlikely person – Damian Darhk.
"I need your help. My daughter, she's not right," he said to Damian.
But adding one problem with another problem is never a good idea. Captain Lance will realize this truth sooner than expected as when he arrives home, he is confronted by Oliver Queen.
"For years you looked at me with such contempt," Ollie spoke to the police captain who seemed to feign innocence.
"What are you talking about?" Capt. Lance remarked.
"I'm talking about you and Damian Darhk," Ollie retorted back.
Details thrown over at the highlight reel suggested that this episode could really be bloody. Towards its end, Captain Lance can be seen aiming his gun to Sara. But in the end, Laurel stops him from shooting and he leaves.
Unfortunately, some dirty cops capture him. Laurel attempts to prevent them from taking him but is rendered unconscious when they taze her. Team Arrow finds out where the dirty cops have taken him and goes to save him. A fight breaks out but after some time, Captain Lance is able to convince the dirty cops' leader, a policewoman, to surrender and she is arrested.
Afterwards, Captain Lance and Oliver talk and the Captain wants to turn in his badge. However, Oliver convinces him to stay in his position and be their connection to Darhk.
The next episode of "Arrow" Season 4 is titled "Haunted" and it airs next Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 8 p.m. on The CW.
