'Assassin's Creed Origins' Latest News: Two Story DLCs for Upcoming Game Announced

Before the official launch date, video game publisher company Ubisoft has finally revealed their plans for "Assassin's Creed Origins" post-launch expansions.

After the game is released late next month, it will have two major downloadable content (DLC) packs called "The Hidden Ones" and "The Curse of the Pharaohs," which will be available in January and March next year, respectively.

According to GameSpot, the story of "The Hidden Ones" takes place several years after the events in the base game, where players are going to clash with the Romans in a new Egyptian region.

On the other hand, "The Curse of the Pharaohs" is said to introduce a new mystical world, where players will encounter different kinds of beasts and creatures while trying to get to the bottom the curse that led to the resurrection of the dead Pharaohs.

Both post-launch expansions will increase the level cap of "Assassin's Creed Origins," according to PC Gamer. Plus, the second one is said to add a set of new abilities for players to use.

The two story DLC packs are included in the "Assassin's Creed Origins" season pass, which also comes with two smaller add-ons that contain new costumes and weapons, 500 in-game Helix credits, and an exclusive weapon called the Calamity Blade. The season pass is priced at $40 in the United States.

What makes it even better is that it also comes with a bunch of freebies, such as an epic boss battle called "The Trial of the Gods," a traveling merchant called the Nomad's Bazaar, and a new educational mode called Discovery Tour, which turns the game into a combat-free museum where players can learn all about the in-game world.

It also includes a Photo Mode that enables players to take pictures in the game, and a Horde Mode, which lets players fight an endless horde of enemies in the Gladiator Arena.

"Assassin's Creed Origins" will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Oct. 27.
