Bethenny Frankel Divorce 2014: Bryn Custody Dispute Settled; Jason Hoppy Wants $10 Million?

Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy settled their bitter child custody dispute on Wednesday.

The pair, who separated in December 2012 after two years of marriage, will reportedly share custody of their 4-year-old daughter Bryn however details surrounding their arrangement will remain confidential. Bernard Clair, who is Hoppy's attorney, confirmed a custody deal had been reached in a statement released yesterday.

"My client is delighted that this custody dispute has been resolved; that his co-parenting status has been acknowledged; that the parties' child will have the benefit of being raised by both parents; and most importantly, that his daughter will no longer be at the mercy of a high profile courtroom battle," Clair said in a statement obtained by People.com.

"Jason wishes Bethenny only the best of luck, and he looks forward to sharing with her all of the joyous occasions, milestones and blessings that will be coming up in his daughter's future," he added.

The settlement comes one week after the former "Bethenny Ever After" stars testified in a Manhattan Supreme Court who would be a better parent to Bryn. Frankel, 43, recounted a number of nasty exchanges she had with the Pharmaceutical Sales Executive during their marriage and accused him of involving their daughter in their arguments.

"He would sit with Bryn and look over and say ... 'You be the princess, I'll be the prince, Mommy will be the witch,'" Frankel testified.

The "Bethenny" talk show host sobbed throughout her testimony and at one point admitted to once throwing water on Hoppy, 42, as he slept.

"He said, 'I'm going to destroy you. I'm going to have you and your publicist crying and crumbling in a corner. Now you're going to see what I was like on the basketball court,'" she revealed. "He said, 'You don't know what it's like to have a family, you'll never have a family. Let's go baby.'"

The joint custody arrangement undoubtedly comes a s a relief to Hoppy, who was left furious last year when Frankel requested sole custody of Bryn in her divorce filing.

While Hoppy also requested sole child custody of Bryn in his initial response to Frankel's divorce filing, he reportedly later requested joint custody however at the time the Skinnygirl Entrepreneur was not interested.

"Jason is agreeable to joint custody of Bryn, but Bethenny is absolutely balking," a source told RadarOnline.com at the time.

"She wants sole custody of Bryn, period. No compromises. It makes no sense because Jason is a very active father and plans to be a huge part of his daughter's life," the source explained.

The pair are expected to battle out their divorce in court at a late date. Frankel is said to be worth between $25 million and $55 million and the pair allegedly signed an ironclad prenuptial agreement ahead of their 2010 wedding.

"Jason is willing to take a $10 million settlement in the divorce from Bethenny. He feels entitled to that large amount because he helped her to launch Skinnygirl. She sought his advice and counsel on the cocktail line from the beginning and up until the sale," another source said.

"[Bethenny] thinks it's outrageous that Jason is demanding so much money," the insider added.
