Beyonce Relaunching Acting Career, Turns to Gwyneth Paltrow for Advice

Beyonce Knowles is reportedly trying to relaunch her acting career and has turned to her best friend Gwyneth Paltrow for advice.

"Gwyneth is arranging a meeting and also has ideas about a mini-movie for an upcoming music video," a source told The Sun UK.

Paltrow, 39, reportedly contacted her godfather, Steven Spielberg, and put in a good word for the Grammy Award-winning singer, advising him that Beyonce wants to move on from her gig as Foxxy Cleopatra in "Austin Powers: Goldmember" and on to different roles.

Beyonce has starred in several films including the 2006 comedy film "The Pink Panther" and "Dreamgirls." She will also appear in actor Clint Eastwood's upcoming film "A Star Is Born."

The "Single Ladies" singer returned to the stage in May, which was the first time since giving birth to baby Blue Ivy in January. She is currently planning a vacation her husband Jay-Z along with Paltrow and her husband, "Colplay" frontman Chris Martin.

"The two couples are planning a trip around Florida. Both Chris and Jay have been on intense world tours so they really need a break," an insider told The Sun.

"Gwyneth and Beyonce think the jaunt, going back to nature on a high-end Winnebago, will be the ideal getaway," the insider said, adding that "it will be low-key but it's just what they need and they'll get to spend quality time together."

The couples are likely in need of some time away following controversy which stemmed from Paltrow's recent use of the n-word in a recent tweet.

The Academy Award-winning Actress ignited a firestorm following a controversial tweet that she posted on Twitter while at Jay-Z and Kanye West's "Watch The Throne" tour in Paris in the beginning of June. Fans of both Beyonce and Jay-Z slammed the pair for failing to condemn Paltrow's post.

Paltrow posted a picture of herself at the concert on Twitter, alongside the headline "N----- in paris for real" which led to criticism that the 39-year-old was racially insensitive.

"Hold up. It's the title of the song!" Paltrow shot back at fans on Twitter after receiving backlash.
