2. Biden acknowledges he's discussing classified information
At some points during the conversations between Biden and Zwonitzer, the former president acknowledges that he's sharing classified information. He detailed how part of his diary contained information about “a long meeting about the Security Council,” stressing that “part of it’s classified.”
“I just found all the classified stuff downstairs,” Biden told Zwonitzer.
At another point during one of their conversations, Biden warned that “Some of this may be classified, so be careful.” At the same time, he stressed he was “not sure” because “it’s not marked classified.” Regardless, more than half a page of redactions follows.
