'Captain America 3' News, Update: Leaked Set Videos Show Falcon Taking Flight, Cap and Black Widow Running
Filming production for Marvel's upcoming big screen film "Captain America: Civil War" has already started. One of the earlier set videos leaked online featured Anthony Mackie taking flight as the Falcon as well as Black Widow and the titular character making their way in a densely-packed street.
An Instagram post from a user in Atlanta revealed the costumed hero. The footage shows Falcon using his hi-tech jetpack to take out a group of enemies. The actor's equipment did not have its signature wings attached, however.
It would be a huge inconvenience to have it worn in public, given the small area of the set. The issue can "very easily be CGIed" later in the post-production phase, according to Cinema Blend.
Falcon, who was officially enlisted in the Avengers during the end part of "The Avengers: Age of Ultron," is said to play a key role in the reported Registration Act plotline of the upcoming title. He will also be assisting Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) in finding Bucky a.k.a. the Winter Soldier after the latter went off the grid in "Captain America 2."
Screen Rant meanwhile shared yet another bit of set footage, this time showing Captain America and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) – "or their stunt doubles" -- leaping over cars as they make their way through what appears to be a heavily congested street of Africa.
Aside from Mackie, Evans, and Johansson's characters, "Captain America: Civil War" is said to potentially feature the return of Spider-Man, now a part of the MCU, as a teenager from New York. It remains to be seen as to who will take the role of the web-slinger.
Civil War is slated to open in theaters this May 6, 2016.
