Carrie Underwood Pregnant News: Singer Reveals Her Distaste for Maternity Clothing
Country superstar Carrie Underwood is reported to be pregnant with husband Mike Fisher. But subsequent scoops indicated that fans shouldn't expect for the "American Idol" winner to suit up in traditional maternity clothing during the early stage of motherhood.
The "Jesus Takes the Wheel" performer revealed to InStyle Magazine that she is trying to avoid maternity outfits while carrying her baby.
"They're so hard for me to wear because there are so just so many that I don't like," Underwood said. "But the great thing about fashion right now is that there are so many items that are looser. I just want people to know you don't just have to wear maternity clothes because you're pregnant."
To compensate for her obviously growing tummy, the "Something in the Water" singer opted to wear baby doll dresses and baggy jackets that quite served to disguise to the bump.
In related news, MusicTimes.com indicated in their report that the baby is due "sometime in late spring or early summer" next year.
Underwood announced her pregnancy through her social media in which she posted a picture of her dogs all dressed up in pink and blue shirts with a sign that reads: "I'm going to be a big brother," and "I'm going to be a big sister."
She further revealed her excitement with Entertainment Weekly by saying that she hopes for the baby to be a girl.
Underwood and Fisher got married in July 2010 after their engagement in December 2009.
