This statement was most likely focused at their UK audience since the album won’t come out in the U.S. until the next day.

According to Billboard.com, their new album will be produced by Markus Dravs, Daniel Green and Rik Simpson with “enoxification” and addition composition by Brian Eno.

This will be Coldplay’s first release since 2008’s “Viva La Vida” album which sold 2.8 million copies in the U.S. alone, according to Nielson SoundScan.

The album will be released on digital, CD and vinyl formats. The vinyl version of “Mylo Xyloto” will come with a 12”x 36” poster.

They will also release a special limited edition Pop-Up album version which will come with a 12” x 12” hardback book containing graffiti pop-up art designed by David A. Carter, vinyl, CD and exclusive content including photographs, excerpts from the studio diary and the bands personal notebooks.

They also will have a “reversible” cover for the album that was revealed at COLDPLAY.COM. Half of the CD’s released will be packaged with the full color artwork as the cover and the other half with the CD booklet flipped, which will show the silver initials “M X” using a die-cut sheet placed over the cover art.

Coldplay’s manager Dave Holmes also told Billboard that the band plans on doing a small string of shows in the U.K. and Europe in December.

The band won’t go on a global tour until next spring according to Holmes.
