'Coming to set you free': 4 things to know about the 'Trump Gaza' video

2. The Gaza temple

The video's setting in Gaza has evoked references to the biblical figure Samson. According to the Old Testament book of Judges, Samson visited Gaza, where he famously removed the city's gates and carried them to a hill near Hebron. This act symbolized his strength and defiance against the Philistines.

The Trump Gaza video appears to make at least a passing reference to Samson in its final scene depicting the entrance to the fictional location with two pillars at the entrance. Judges 16:29 describes the Gaza temple as having two pillars supporting the roof: "Then Samson reached toward the two central pillars on which the temple stood. Bracing himself against them, his right hand on the one and his left hand on the other."

In addition to Judges, other biblical mentions of Gaza are in Joshua, Jeremiah and Amos, as well as the New Testament book of Acts, where Philip the evangelist shared the Gospel with an Ethiopian eunuch on the road to Gaza.
