'Dancing With the Stars' 2014 Rumors, Spoilers: Alfonso Ribeiro to Do 'The Carlton' This Week
Will Smith's "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" co-star Alfonso Ribeiro has officially confirmed that he'll be performing "The Carlton Dance," according to reports.
According to the publication, Ribeiro will be doing his signature dance to the tune of Tom Jones' classic "It's Not Unusual" on the 4th Week of "Dancing With The Stars" season 19, which will air this coming Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
"The Carlton" is Ribeiro's signature dance which as he revealed is "a combination of Courteney Cox's move in Bruce Springsteen's 'Dancing in the Dark' video, Eddie Murphy's 'White Man Dance' and his own style." The dance made a splash in the '90s during the surge of the NBC's sitcom.
Ever since the 43-year-old actor was announced to join the DWTS for its 19th season, fans have been wondering if he will do the dance move.
Then the actor took to his social media this week to announce the news.
"It's official. @WitneyCarson and I are doing The Carlton Dance to Tom Jones It's Not Unusual this week @DancingABC #teamwitfonso Vote vote," he tweeted.
"It is actually happening. We are doing it this week. My feeling was, you know, I've continuously gotten asked, 'When am I doing it? When am I doing it? When am I doing it? When am I doing it?' Literally, every interview I get that question," he told the Huffington Post.
"Yeah, so getting it out of the way, we felt like this would be the right time to do it," the game show host added.
Entitled "Most Memorable Year," fans will also get to see partners Tommy and Peta and Betsey and Tony performing jive. Couples Bethany and Derek and Jane and Val will also do the rumba routine.
Meanwhile, Sadie and Mark and Antonio and Cheryl will do the samba. Michael and Emma will perform quickstep. As for duos Lea and Artem and Jonathan and Allison, information related to their dance performance hasn't been known yet.
