'Days of Our Lives' Spoilers: Aug. 17, Patch Returns, Aiden Keeps a Secret, Sonny Leaves Salem

Another week has gone by which means it's another week of "Days of Our Lives" updates and spoilers. Loyal followers of the long-running soap opera will be expecting a lot especially since some characters are making a comeback on the coming episodes.

According to Youth Health, Steve "Patch" Johnson will be heading back to Salem on Aug. 28. Patch will be seen later this month when he arrives home and brings with him his now teenage son, Joey, and mother, Kayla Brady. There will also be other characters that will be returning to the show and the list includes Bo Brady (Peter Reckell), Bo's son, Shawn Douglas Brady (Jason Cook), Shawn's wife, Belle Black (Martha Madison), Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney), and many more.

Meanwhile, in a detailed spoiler by Celebrity Laundry, Clyde (James Read) is going to surprise attack Aiden (Daniel Cosgrove). Aiden dropped Clyde as a client so he will show him his displeasure in a very grisly manner. While Hope and Aiden spend a romantic evening together at Salem Inn, a masked Clyde strikes Aiden during the time when Hope went out of the room for a bit. But Clyde takes off his mask to reveal to Aiden who his assailant is.

Upon the return of Hope, she finds Aiden with blood running down his face. Aiden chose to keep the details of his attack a secret from Hope.

Another news also revealed that Sonny will be leaving Salem because of his past. He wants to leave the town to start anew and move on from his troubled history. Details on whether he will be gone for good have not yet been revealed but "Days of Our Lives" is expected to undergo big changes as the works of the new writers will start to air next week, reported Realty Today.

"Days of Our Lives" airs Monday to Friday on NBC.
