'Divinity: Original Sin' News: Enhanced Edition Coming Out Before End of 2015

Dubbed as one of the best fantasy role-playing video games ever released in 2014, "Divinity: Original Sin" is coming out with an Enhanced Edition of the video game, according to its developer Larian Studios. According to a report in IGN, the Enhanced Edition will be available for PC, Mac, SteamOS and Linux as well as next generation consoles (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.)

Larian Studios also emphasized that the new edition will not be a "patch" or "a minor content update." It will come with a "reworked story" with a new ending, local co-op, fully voiced characters, new content and changes to the crafting system. It is said to be released before the end of 2015.

"'Divinity: Original Sin' Enhanced Edition is a completely separate game: not an update to 'Divinity: Original Sin,'" the developer said in a statement. "Both games will be remain available on PC and Mac, and it is important to note that they are totally different entities." Saved games in the original version cannot be transferred to the enhanced edition primarily because of the "technical changes" and the "reworked story."

For PC users, the new edition requires a 64-bit system and a Direct X 11 video card.

Those who already bought the "Divinity: Original Sin" game will get the Enhanced Edition for free. No word yet on how much the game will cost for new buyers.

The developers will also be at the E3 2015 to demonstrate the edition's new gameplay.

"Divinity: Original Sin" was developed through a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter in 2013. It was released in June 2014. The game also comes with the editor that created it, so that players can create their own adventures and share them online.
