DMX Raps Rudolph: Coolest Version of Christmas Classic Ever? (VIDEO)

A video of DMX rapping Christmas classic "Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer" has gone viral. The video of DMX's performance was recorded at New York's Power 105.1, where he was asked to rap the popular holiday song for the station.

Not many would have thought the hardcore rapper would have taken part, but he immediately got into the Christmas spirit and was happy to play along.

In the video the rapper raps the reindeer roll call before pushing into the main chorus of the song.

He can be seem banging on the desk to create a rhythm, before launching into the popular lyrics.

DMX added a lot of the usual rap ad-libs such as "C'mon" and "Ugh-ugh," as well as "what?"

Fans immediately took to social media sites to praise the rapper, with many calling it the coolest version of Rudolf ever performed.

Not many could perform such a holiday classic so well, and especially many were impressed that he was able to do so well in naming Santa's reindeer. Most admitted they had no chance in getting all the names right. However, DMX asks at the end of the video, "Did I get the names right?"

DMX has been hugely popular for more than a decade after releasing his best-selling album in 1999 "And Then There Was X," which featured the hit single "Party Up (Up in Here)."

He has also had various stints in acting, and has starred in films such as Belly, Romeo Must Die, Exit Wounds, Cradle 2 The Grave, and Last Hour.

In 2006, he starred in the reality TV series "DMX: Soul of a Man," which was primarily aired on the BET cable television network.

DMX has sold over 30 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling hip-hop artists of all time.
