'Fantastic Four' Reboot Movie Release Date: June 2015 Premiere Date Set

The "Fantastic Four" reboot has finished filming, and "House of Cards" actress Kate Mara, who plays Sue Storm in the film, shared a picture of her and her other co-stars who make up the legendary superhero team. Mara posed for the picture with Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Bell after they wrapped up filming for the much-awaited reboot.

Though no information about the plot has been provided, it has been reported that the movie will be heavily influenced by the Ultimate Fantastic Four comics that were launched in 2004 which will portray the team in a more modern context.

Teller was tapped to play the role of Reed Richards or Mr. Fantastic. His previous work includes "The Spectacular Now" and "Divergent." In the previous film, it was Ioan Grufudd who played the role, and he portrayed an older version of Mr. Fantastic.

Mara follows in the footsteps of Jessica Alba, who took on the role of Sue Storm in the last two "Fantastic Four" movies. Though details of Mara's portrayal have not been released, fans are expecting that she will still be Johnny Storm's sister and have powers that turn her invisible and enable her to generate force fields.

Jordan will be playing the role of Johnny Storm, also known as the Human Torch. The character was portrayed by Chris Pine in the previous films. The reboot's casting has been controversial so far, but Jordan's casting has been the most talked about. The character of Johnny Storm has always been portrayed as Caucasian in the comics and in the past two films, so there are speculations that in the new film, Sue may have been adopted, as the role of Sue and Johnny's father will be played by Reg E. Cathey.

Bell was selected to play the role of The Thing, previously played by Michael Chiklis, and Toby Kebbell was hired to play Dr. Doom.

The "Fantastic Four" reboot will be released on June 19, 2015.
