'Fashion Police' Cast News, Rumors: Has Melissa Rivers Chosen A New Host?
Melissa, daughter of the late comedienne Joan Rivers, is determined to keep "Fashion Police" alive and has now reportedly chosen a new name to fill in the vacant seat.
A report from Radar Online cited what the sources told the people from Naughty Gossip and it was found out that the person in question is none other than she.
"Melissa is saying that she is going to host the show. No one understands the show more than she does and this is what her mother would want," the informant said.
"She now see's it as part of her mother's legacy to see that the show survives," yet another source told the media outlet. "Many think that the show is not salvageable. But Melissa is trying to convince the network that all will be great again if she becomes one of the hosts."
The hit E! program suffered a major setback when Joan tragically died after a throat surgery which reportedly had gone wrong.
Following her death, the popular celebrity fashion critique show was plagued further with a string of unfortunate events, including new host Giuliana Rancic's unfortunate racially tinged comments as well as the sudden exits of Kathy Griffin and Kelly Osbourne.
"Kathy Griffin quit after just seven episodes and slammed the entire concept of mocking celebrity fashions on her way," says an anonymous source. "Melissa will never forgive her for that."
According to earlier reports, "Fashion Police" is set to return to the E! Network this September.
