'Gintama: Porori-hen' Anime Spoilers: Next Episode to Feature Life, Death, and Shades

Now that the Odd Jobs crew has taken down the Armed Cardboard Gang and has subsequently reunited the widowed ramen shop owner, Ikumatsu, with her long-lost father, it's time for a brand new adventure on the next episode of the Japanese action-comedy anime series, "Gintama: Porori-hen."

It turned out that Ikumatsu's father was none other than the man in the weird outfit who has been referring to himself as god. And although he was once again separated from Ikumatsu after saving his daughter and being washed away by a current himself, he eventually came by Ikumatsu's restaurant the following New Year's Eve, due in part to Zura's follow-up request for the Odd Jobs crew to reunite the Nishiki family.

The preview for the next episode teases that it will be about life, death, and shades — or, at least, to a degree. It will also feature a story about cops, and perhaps another suicide attempt by Hasegawa.

In the previous episode, he has already made an attempt that was rudely interrupted by an assassin aiming at his latest target. Could Hasegawa's character arc be given its much-awaited continuation?

The upcoming episode will also be bringing back some of the Shinsengumi members along with Isaburo and Nobume, which has made fans of the show look forward to it. But although some of them would've preferred a thorough update on the actual lives of the Shinsengumi members, what looks to be a fun and hilarious episode featuring the ongoing rivalry between the Shinsengumi and the Mimawarigumi will be just as good.

"Gintama: Porori-hen" airs on Sundays late night at 1:35 a.m. on TV Tokyo, TV Hokkaido, TV Aichi, TV Setouchi, and TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting.
