'Grey's Anatomy' Season 12 News, Spoilers: Wilmer Valderrama on Kyle-Stephanie Romance; Conflict Between Miranda and Ben to Get 'Explosive'

"That '70s Show" alum Wilmer Valderrama made his debut as MS patient Kyle Diaz in last Thursday's episode of "Grey's Anatomy."

The actor, who has a recurring arc in the current season of the popular medical drama series, plays an aspiring musician who seeks treatment at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital for a tremor that threatens to end his career. Neuro chief Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) operated on Kyle in a risky procedure that required the patient to be awake as the surgeon worked on his brain. Stephanie (Jerrika Hinton), Amelia's protege, was tasked with keeping Kyle calm during the surgery and the charming musician wasted no time flirting with the young doctor.

Valderrama recently spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about his stint at "Grey's Anatomy" and his character's pursuit of Stephanie.

"He sees her as a very fun, exciting and sexy challenge — and someone who is very unique, who caught his eye on a different level," the actor said.

"We'll see the evolution of that and how he will make her believe in him," he teased.

Meanwhile, Ben (Jason George), who found himself in hot water after operating on a pregnant woman without the proper surgical equipment in "There's A Fine, Fine Line," will soon be facing some tough transitions. The character, who has been struggling with his feelings about his relationship with his wife Miranda (Chandra Wilson) and her position at Grey Sloan, may be coming up across a major obstacle on his path to becoming a surgeon.

In an interview with Moviefone, George said:

"We've been teasing how Ben and Bailey have a lot of issues. There's a lot of friction when it comes to the fact that she's not just his boss, but his boss's boss. We tease that she earns a lot more money than him. Well, that's all going to come to a really explosive head."

In the next episode of "Grey's Anatomy," Miranda will put together an advisory committee tasked with recommending disciplinary action against Ben while Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) makes a major decision that changes her and Callie's (Sara Ramirez) relationship, and April (Sarah Drew) and Jackson (Jesse Williams) try to put their differences aside for the sake of their unborn child.

"Grey's Anatomy" airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
