'Hawaii Five-0' Season 7 Episode 20 Spoilers: Season's Theme Leads to Surprise Wedding? More 'MacGyver' Crossovers Coming Soon

With 25 episodes planned for this season, there are still a lot of things in store for the latter part of "Hawaii Five-0" season 7. And after the Five-0 finally met the Phoenix Foundation team, will there be more "Hawaii Five-0" and "MacGyver" crossovers happening in later seasons?

Episode 19's main case saw McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) and Kono (Grace Park) bring down a sex trafficking ring victimizing young girls on the island, and Kono's emotions burst to Mama Bear level as she went all-out on a wild and angry hunt to make sure that these girls made it safely back home to their families.

The episode also gave the series a chance to promote the advocacies of the Ho'ōla Nā Pua Foundation, which aims to build a response to sex trafficking that includes the four program areas of health, education, advocacy and reintegration of young girls who have been victimized by sex trafficking. The name translates to "New Life for our Children."

"Hawaii Five-0" expresses their support for the cause and urges their fans to check out the organization's site to gain awareness and offer their support as well.

But social causes are not the only thing that "Hawaii Five-0" has promoted in the past couple of episodes. After finally giving fans a nifty crossover that brought "MacGyver's" Phoenix Foundation to Hawaii, executive producer Peter M. Lenkov teased that this may not be the last time that Mac (Lucas Till) and McGarrett's teams are going to meet.

"When I was writing the pilot for 'MacGyver,' I really was writing it tonally like it existed in the same world as 'Five-0.' And I had planted a couple seeds in the pilot that I was hoping we would get to a place where we were lucky enough to be able to do a crossover," Lenkov told TV Guide in an interview, adding that crossing the two shows over had always been the intention, and hinted that a crossover could happen again in the shows' future seasons.

Lenkov also mentioned in an interview with Entertainment Weekly last year that the overall theme for this season is "legacy," and even teased about significant personal changes in the characters' lives, like Kono considering about having a family and a surprise wedding between yet unidentified characters.

"Hawaii Five-0" airs every Friday at 9 p.m. EDT on CBS.
