'Hawaii Five-O' Season 5 Premiere Date, Spoilers: 'Nowhere to Hide' Episode to Open New Season
Hit police procedural TV series "Hawaii Five-O" is now up and ready to kick off for its fifth season with premiere episode entitled "Aʻohe Kahi e Peʻe Ai" or "Nowhere to Hide," which will air this Friday, Sept. 26 at 9 p.m. on CBS.
"The island of O'ahu goes on lockdown when Five-0 hunts a terrorist who starts using weaponized drones on civilians. Meanwhile, McGarrett and Danno must go for a mandated review with a psychologist, resulting in a session which looks a lot like couples therapy," the synopsis reads.
The fifth season premiere will see Jorge Garcia (who appears as a guest star in several of the previous "HFO" episodes) returning to play the conspiracy theorist named Jerry Ortega as a series regular.
Fans will also see Detective Lieutenant Chin Ho Kelly (Daniel Dae Kim) being promoted in the office, an issue which, as reported, could lead into a bigger story arc as the season progresses.
Moreover, viewers will also find out more in the fifth season about Rollins (Michelle Borth) and McGarrett's (Alex O'Laughlin) long-distance relationship, which as speculated, is now nearing to a "civil ending."
Meanwhile, TV Line indicated in their spoiler reports that actress Amanda Setton will join the cast members for Hawaii Five-O's fifth season. Playing the role of a certain Dr. Mindy Shaw, she will be under the tutelage of Dr. Max Bergman, Honolulu's Chief Medical Examiner.
Aside from Setton, more guest stars are also set to appear in the show. According to Entertainment Weekly, Frankie Valli will play the role of Leonard Campbell – an ex-shop teacher and with stage 4 leukemia.
