'Heroes Reborn' Latest Casting Updates: Angela Petrelli Actress Joining New Show

Casting reports for the upcoming NBC miniseries event "Heroes: Reborn" indicated that yet another original cast member will join the new show.

Actress Cristine Rose will be reprising her role as Angela Petrelli, Entertainment Weekly said.

Angela was known by fans to be the mother of Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) and Nathan Petrelli (Adrian Pasdar). In her own case, Angela can see the future through her dreams. Rose's "complex, plain-spoken, and unapologetic character" remains to be seen as to how it will be used in Reborn.

The site however clarified that neither of her sons are included in the new casting call.

Like Ventiglia and Pasdar, other mainstays like Hayden Panettiere (who played the character Claire Bennet), Ali Larter (Tracy Strauss), and Zachary Quinto (Sylar) won't be making it to the new version which will see the acts of newcomers like Zachary Levi.

Meanwhile, Levi's reported character Luke Collins had long been speculated to be the show's big bad. Levi however clarified that fans need to hold on to their theories for the moment and wait for the show to unveil the truth.

"Coming in as a wild card it's like, 'What is he going to do?' And you get a little more leeway to play with that and to surprise people. I'm a big fan of surprising people. And scaring people! But surprising people … He's complicated. But I think the complication is what makes it really intriguing. It was the most intriguing thing to me about the character. When I found out who they wanted me to play I was like, 'Yes. That's the character I would like to play,'" the actor said.

The new NBC revival show is reportedly still in production and is slated to premiere this fall.
