Hillary in 2016? 'Only if Her Health Holds Out,' Says Author

Is Hillary Clinton's health preventing her from running in the 2016 election? That's the question posited by author Ed Klein, who has suggested that Clinton will run, but "only if her health holds out."

"At this very moment that we're speaking now," Klein told Fox News Radio, "the Clintons are already thinking seriously about running in 2016. She'll be 69 years old, and, as you know- and I don't want to sound anti-feminist here-but she's not looking good these days. She's looking overweight, and she's looking very tired."

Clinton just returned from a trip abroad, in which she famously appeared without makeup in front of cameras. The public was divided on whether she should be praised for her boldness or if it was a sign that Clinton was "very tired" and not feeling well.

"If her health holds out- that's a big if, of course- if her health holds out, there's no question in my mind she and Bill, two for the price of one, will run in 2016," Klein concluded.

Speculation about whether Hillary will actually run in 2016 has been rampant ever since her announcement to leave the Secretary of State position in November. She told the press, "I have made it clear that I will certainly stay on until the president nominates someone and that transition can occur."

"But I think after 20 years, and it will be 20 years, of being on the high wire of American politics and all of the challenges that come with that, it would probably be a good idea to just find out how tired I am," she added.

Should she decide to run, though, she would have the full support of husband Bill.

"If she comes home and wants to do this foundation stuff for the rest of our lives, I'll be happy. If she changes her mind and decides to run, I'll be happy," Bill told "Good Morning America."

Right now, though, the Secretary of State's plans are to "come home, decompress and relax."
