iPhone 4S Release Date: Top New Improvements to Mobile Gaming in iOS 5

The iPhone 4S takes mobile gaming to a whole new level, from simple graphics (like in "Angry Birds") to advanced graphics and smooth animation not unlike the games played on computers, according to experts.

According to Wired, Apple’s A5 processor and the new iOS 5 grant game developers amazing new opportunities.

The 1GHz dual-core processor and the operating system together have the potential to "seriously supercharge gaming on both the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 (which uses the chip too)," the tech magazine stated in a Sunday article, after having tested new games on Apple's celebrated new device.

The main improvements to be look forward to are: much more powerful, top-notch graphics and rendering effects; easier ways of connecting with other players via online gaming networks' and, most importantly, way more games and updates.

The users of iOS 5 can now reportedly connect with other users without knowing their email addresses or nicknames.

The recently launched iCloud makes it possible to seamlessly transit from one Apple device to another -- from iPhone to iPad, for example -- while continuing to play the same game.

Another impressive addition is "asynchronous turn-based gaming," a system that allows two players play together without being online, as long as they both have their apps on.

The new A5 processor reportedly delivers CPU performance twice as fast as its previous chip, along with seven times faster graphics processing.

According to Venture Beat, iPhone 4S "has the ability to run games that are much better-looking than those on the iPhone 4."

Top games that the publication recommends to try out on the new smartphone are: "Infinity Blade II," "Real Racing 2," "Shadowgun," "My Horse," and "Galaxy on Fire 2."

A lot of buzz surrounds "Infinity Blade II," which will, according to the official website, "challenge gamers to journey further into the world of the Deathless tyrants and their legion of Titans, building skills and upgrading characters in new ways as they delve deeper into the story of this mysterious, timeless adventure." And all of that packaged with spotless technology.

Therefore, online gaming seems to be yet another reason for upgrading to iOS 5.
