iPhone 5 to Be Sold at Gamestop

Video game giant, Gamestop will begin selling Apple’s iOS products in the near future, according to 9to5 Mac.

At a recent trade show that took place in Las Vegas, an announcement was made stating that Gamestop would begin carrying products such as the iPhone, iPod and iPad at its retail outlets.

It also began taking trade-ins of iOS devices this week, according to the report.

Gamestop plans on giving consumers credit for their old Apple devices in order to possibly gear up for the rumored launch of the iPhone 5 in October.

According to 9to5 Mac, Deutsche Telekom in Germany is now quietly accepting pre-orders for the next generation iPhone.

Apple sold 20.34 million iPhones during the June quarter which is a result from its partnership with cell phone service provider, Verizon.

Apple seems to be expanding its territory more and more.

In the past few weeks, it announced plans to release the iPhone 5 on Sprint which will make three of the U.S.’s largest service providers offer the highly anticipated device.

There are also talks of the iPhone 5 coming to T-Mobile.

October 7th is the current rumored release date and Sprint has scheduled an event for that day.

It has not confirmed whether its event is related to the release of the device.

The iPhone 5 may also be coming to China Mobile, the world’s largest and most valued carrier.

According to 9to5 Mac, Steve Jobs and Tim Cook have been holding secret meetings in order to finalize the deal that will allow the service provider to carry the device.

Apple’s distribution of its already widely popular smartphone will undoubtedly help them report another blow-out holiday quarter this year.

Demand is high for the next generation iPhone, so Apple seems to be doing its best to meet that demand and distribute the device through every possible outlet.
