In May, a source for Gematsu.com said the game is currently in development. Some fans of the "Jak & Daxter" series are ready to play the new high definition collection.

Game Informer forum user "VinsanityV22" gave his opinion: "I will buy this. Announce it already, Sony! I was angry all generation long that Ratchet & Clank seemed to be more popular and score better than the Jak games, because it's obvious that they're much better games."

"They practically reinvent themselves every time AND they're all triple-A experiences, unlike the Ratchet games which just recycle the same experience every time,” the user added.

Game Informer forum user "intelig3nc3r" said: "I really hope that these games make it to an HD collection. All three games were great. Hopefully Sony and Naughty Dog are paying attention to fans like me of this series and release them soon. I've been wanting a Jak and Daxter collection ever since these collections started to come out."

Sony and Naughty Dog have offered no official comments on the rumored game.
