Jay-Z Tells Kanye West 'Put A Ring' on Kim Kardashian's Finger, Beyonce 'Isn't as Keen'

Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner is not the only one pushing her daughter Kim Kardashian and Kanye West to tie the knot. New reports suggest that hip-hop mogul Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter also wants to see the famous couple walk down the aisle.

West, 34, has reportedly already designed an engagement ring for Kardashian, 31, using his late mother's jewels. While recently professing his love for the reality TV star during a discussion with Jay-Z, the 42-year-old advised him not to put off the marriage proposal.

"Kanye West runs everything about his professional and personal life by Jay. When Kanye mentioned that he thinks Kim is a keeper, Jay said, 'Then don't risk losing her – put a ring on her finger!'" a source told Star Magazine.

"Beyonce isn't as keen on Kim as Jay is," the source went on. "She thinks Kanye should take a wait-and-see approach."

The news follows reports that Jenner, who allegedly pushed Kardashian to have her over-the-top wedding with estranged husband Kris Humphries in 2011, also wants Kardashian and Kanye to film their nuptials with the E! Network.

"Kris Jenner is ecstatic that Kim is dating Kanye; she can see their celebrity stock and wealth rising by the day! She has already told Kim that if they make it down the aisle they are going to do it on camera again," a source close to the Kardashian family reportedly told RadarOnline.com.

"You would think most moms would be keen for their daughter to take it slow, especially seeing as Kim's divorce still isn't finalized from the last fiasco," the source added.

Despite West's enthusiasm about marrying Kardashian, some friends close to the rapper have reportedly expressed their reservations- some especially objected to his idea of incorporating the late Donda West's jewelry in Kardashian's engagement ring.

Donda was a Professor of English at Clark Atlanta University and the Chair of the English Department at Chicago State University, and Kardashian rose to fame in 2007 following the release of her homemade sex tape. Critics believe that associating the two could taint Donda's legacy.

"His friends think it's a terrible idea and are advising him not to give Kim the ring because it's a gift, it would be difficult for Kanye to ask for it back if they ever split up," a source close to West said.

"They've also reminded him that Kim is not somebody who works hard for her money. She makes millions doing reality shows and selling her image, and Donda's jewelry shouldn't be part of that image," the source added.
