Jessa Duggar Reveals Pregnancy Cravings, Plans to Give Birth at Home

Earlier this week Jessa Duggar and her husband Ben Seewald announced that they are expecting their first child. Jessa, who's 12 weeks in her pregnancy, reveals that she has nothing to be worried about as she gets all the advice that she can get from her sister Jill, who recently gave birth to her first child two weeks ago.

Jessa says that her sister, a trained midwife, "has all the knowledge and training," she tells People Magazine. Jill welcomed baby Israel David with her husband Derick Dillard on April 6 after 70 hours of labor.

"I am not comparing, not worrying about what could happen, we are just getting prepared," said Jessa.

The 22-year-old also said that she plans on giving birth at home.

"Every birth story is unique. We think we want to go with a midwife and plan for a home birth, but I want to just be prepared that not everything may go as planned and try not to get worried about it," Jessa said.

Now headed into her second trimester, the mother-to-be says that she's grateful that her morning sickness has finally eased up and is taking her first pregnancy day by day.

"I thought I'd crave pickles and lemons because my mother did, but I couldn't stand them," she shares. "And one day I suddenly couldn't do dairy. I would sit in bed and eat crackers, hoping the nausea would pass."

Jessa said that her husband has been a big help as he constantly sees to it that she is comfortable as possible.

"He's so sweet," she said of her husband of five months. "[He's been waiting on me hand and foot."

In their announcement video, Jessa hoped for a boy, while Ben teased that the "19 Kids and Counting" star could be carrying twins.
