Jessica Simpson Baby, New Picture Reveals Red Hair (PHOTO)

Jessica Simpson recently posted a picture of her and fiancé Eric Johnson's baby girl on Twitter, which showed off the newborn's red hair.

The doting mom posted the caption "Howdy friends," alongside the happy snap on Tuesday ,which prompted a number of Simpson's 5 million Twitter followers to retweet the photo.

Simpson, 31, gave birth to baby Maxwell Drew Johnson, who arrived weighing in at 9 lbs., 13 oz., on May 1- a full 10 days after her expected due date. She has been in awe of her daughter ever since.

"I am so in love with baby Maxwell! I want to cry every time I look at her. Motherhood is by far the best thing I've ever experienced," Simpson recently tweeted.

Baby Maxwell is Simpson's first child, and the singer recently spoke about how having a child has altered her priorities in life.

"We stare at her all the time! We can't get enough!" Simpson previously gushed to People Magazine. "My life has completely changed. From how I sleep to what I think about, Maxwell has definitely taken over everything."

Having a baby has not been completely easy for the singer. Simpson is being paid $4 million to lose approximately 50 pounds in five months, which has added strain to her adjustment to motherhood, according to In Touch Magazine.

"She's so emotional," a friend told In Touch. "She doesn't want to go to the gym. She doesn't want to leave her baby. Sometimes she just starts crying. It's hard for her."

The singer's weight reportedly reached a reported 210 pounds during the height of her pregnancy, and she is already said to be physically exhausted with the task of trying to reach her goal weight of 130 pounds.

"She's consumed with the new baby," another source told the magazine. "She and Eric are often up with Maxi all night."

Simpson's weight loss program understandably requires a strict diet and frequent exercise which she is said to be struggling with.

"She gets so upset. She wants her body back so badly, but it's beyond hard," the insider explained. "She'll have the occasional slice of pizza. If she feels deprived, it won't last."
