Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez News: Shows Off Skateboarding Moves in NYC, Gomez in Abu Dhabi

2014 is almost over, yet the much awaited reconciliation between Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez may not be happening anytime soon as the two are currently miles away from each other as they celebrate the holidays.

Bieber has been spending a lot of time in New York City as he hung out with Hailey Baldwin and Alfredo Flores. The three were seen attending church and having lunch at JG Melon. The "Girlfriend" singer has also been photographed skateboarding along the streets on NYC, but decided to take it one step further as he attempted to pull off a skateboarding trick.

A crowd of fans and paparazzi gathered and watched him attempt a trick, but it didn't go as he planned and he fell and tumbled down some concrete steps. But it looks like the singer was unhurt as he got back up and tried the trick again, and he was more successful on his next try.

Meanwhile, Gomez is currently in Abu Dhabi with her good friends Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Hadid's boyfriend Cody Simpson, and others for a vacation. Jenner took to Instagram on Dec. 29 to show a photo of their group, made up of 13 girls and Simpson, posing in front of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Gomez and her friends were garbed in all black robes and hijabs in observance of the culture.

It was earlier reported that Bieber is keeping in touch with Gomez through text message, however, the 'Heart Wants What it Wants' singer appears to be distancing herself from her ex as she spends more time with her female friends.

On Christmas Eve, Gomez took to Twitter to thank her fans for their support and wrote, "Guys, this year, hasn't even been the same but YOU made it incredible. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE!! Please tell me ya'll are eating as much as me."
