Kim Kardashian Defends Pregnancy Joke

Kim Kardashian is defending herself against claims that she is advising pregnant mothers to never leave their homes.

Kardashian, the 33-year-old "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star shares her 1-year-old daughter North West with her new husband and rap mogul Kanye West. While she was pregnant, the reality television star was poked fun at for some of her style choices.

When she was recently questioned about advice that she would give to pregnant women, Kim's response seemed shocking to some.

"I recommend hiding for a good year and having no pregnancy style," Kim said during a recent appearance, according to E! reports. "That's really my recommendation. Wear a huge blanket."

After Kardashian's comments went public, she decided to defend herself on Twitter, insisting she was joking.

"I guess you can't be sarcastic when doing interviews! I was asked about tips on pregnancy style..... I jokingly said pregnant woman should hide/stay in if they looked like I did lol," Kardashian tweeted. "I said ask Kourt her tips bc she has the best preg style. I really should start video taping the interviews I do & post on my website so u can see the laughs & how it's really said."

The reality television star has been a champion for working mothers, and has been dishing out advice recently.

"I took a hiatus after I had the baby, and found it challenging to start working again because I didn't want to spend any time away," she told E! previously. "But you adjust and prioritize, and just figure it out!"

However, Kardashian shared tips for making a career and motherhood work.

"It is an adjustment trying to balance a career and motherhood for sure, but the key is to prioritize," Kardashian said. "You become more selective and work on projects that are so meaningful because you want every other waking moment spent with your family."
