LeBron James Wedding: Miami Heat Star to Wed Savannah Brinson Within Days?

LeBron James will reportedly wed his high school sweetheart, Savannah Brinson, in coming days with reports claiming the couple is all set for their destination wedding.

The NBA star, 28, and Brinson, 26, are expected to exchange "I dos" before family and friends during a three-day event to be held in San Diego. The couple, who got engaged in 2011, shares two children, LeBron Jr. and Bryce, both of whom will be present amongst a small number of guests during the ceremony.

"[LeBron] cut the list down because he didn't want to have 1,000 people at the wedding," a source told Page Six adding that the affair will also be smaller than expected because it will take place during the Jewish day of atonement, Yom Kippur.

James' fellow Miami Heat players, including good friends Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade, are expected to attend the star-studded ceremony. Hip-hop mogul Jay-Z and wife Beyonce are also rumored to be on the guest list.

The festivities are reportedly set to begin with dinner on Friday followed by the lavish wedding, which will take place on Saturday at either the Grand Del Mar or Hotel Del Coronado. A farewell brunch has allegedly been planned to wrap up the weekend on Sunday.

The Heat forward reportedly surprised Brinson with a $450,000 sparkler.

"It was real cool ... It was an opportunity for me with my personal life, so it was good. My girl, she's very excited," James said about his New Year's Eve proposal.

"She would love to answer more questions about it than me. But she's happy, my family's happy and that's what it's all about. … It should be a surprise. For any woman, any time something like that happens, she was surprised," James added.
