Lenovo Miix 320 Release Date, Specs Rumors: 2-in-1 Windows Tablet Leaks, to Launch at MWC 2017?

Lenovo is most likely preparing for its presentation at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) next month and it seems that a new and affordable two-in-one tablet called the Miix 320 will be one of the next-generation devices that the Chinese electronics manufacturer is set to unveil at the annual trade show in Barcelona, Spain.

The Miix 320 was first spotted on Lenovo's official website but the listing for the device has since been taken down. Nevertheless, several media outlets were able to procure a copy of the hybrid tablet's promotional images and a list of its technical specifications.

According to reports, the Lenovo Miix 320 has a more modern design but still looks very similar to its predecessor, the Miix 310, which was introduced about a year ago.

The Lenovo Miix 320 features a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of either 1,290 x 800 pixels or 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. It is powered by the Intel Atom X5 Cherry Trail processor with Intel HD Graphics. The hybrid tablet can support up to 4 GB of random-access memory (RAM) and up to 128 GB of built-in storage.

Aside from a sharper display, the upcoming two-in-one device comes with Dolby Advanced Audio for crisp and clear sound reproduction. With these features, consumers will find that the Miix 320 functions as a good entertainment device. It can also take decent photos with a 5-megapixel (MP) rear camera and a 2-MP front shooter.

In terms of dimensions, the tablet is just 0.3 inches thick and weighs 1.2 pounds. When attached to the keyboard, the device becomes 0.7 inches thick and weighs 2.2 pounds — still light enough to carry while traveling.

Furthermore, the keyboard has been optimized to deliver a smoother typing experience and lessen typographical errors from occurring. There is also a precision touchpad with pinch-to-zoom and multitouch gestures. To ensure productivity, even while on the go, the Miix 320 can support either Windows 10 Home or Pro. Both feature a new browser and Microsoft Office applications.

The Lenovo Miix 320 comes standard with Wi-Fi but prospective customers can opt for a variant with 4G LTE. Connectivity-wise, there is one USB 3.0 Type-C port, two USB 2.0 ports, a microSD card reader, a Nano SIM slot and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The hybrid tablet reportedly provides up to 10 hours of battery life.

The Lenovo Miix 320 will be offered in two colors, Iron Grey and Pearl White, with a starting price of about $230.

However, since Lenovo has not officially confirmed the Miix 320 tablet, information should be taken with a grain of salt. To see if the reports are accurate, be sure to check out MWC 2017, scheduled from Feb. 27 to March 2.
