Lenovo Vibe P1 News: New Leaked Photos Reveal More Details

With a few days away from the much anticipated IFA 2015 event in Berlin, more information about the upcoming smartphone Lenovo Vibe P1 has been leaked online. All of this seems to be part of the hype-building that is usually expected before an official revelation.

According to a Tech Times report, the Lenovo Vibe P1 is speculated to be launched by the company at the IFA 2015, but this has not been confirmed by Lenovo. Earlier this year at the Mobile World Congress, some images of the said device were leaked to the press, but Lenovo has been keeping mum about when it will be finally launched.

From the looks of things, based on what has been leaked so far, the upcoming smartphone is looking to be a good-looking phone with a high capacity battery of 5,000 mAh. The latest set of images came up on China's Weibo, which featured the phone at various angles. This same set of leaks also showed some screenshots which listed the phone's specifications, giving readers an idea of how good its specs are.

The phone is rumored to have a 5.5-inch full HD display with 1,920 by 1,080 pixels per inch. Under the hood, it will run with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor that runs at 1.5 GHz paired with 3GB of RAM. Internal storage is pegged at 16 GB and expandable through microSD support. Its cameras are a rear-facing 13-megapixel one that comes with dual-LED flash and a front-facing 5-megapixel one for selfies.

An impressive 5,000 mAh battery is reported on the new phone, as well as dual-SIM support and NFC connectivity. It is also rumored to come with the very much in demand fingerprint scanner. It will be running on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

As the photos indicate, the phone is not as thin as most of the smartphones already in the market. However, the photos also indicate that the phone will be made of magnesium alloy, which goes with the current trend of metal finishes found on premium phones.

Despite the lack of an official announcement, if the phone is unveiled at IFA 2015, it will be made available immediately after. The estimated price tag of the Lenovo Vibe P1 is around $310.
