'Mad Men' Season 7, Part 2 Premiere Date, News: Final Episodes' Return Date Announced
AMC announced during the Television Critics Association Winter Tour this weekend the airing date of the final seven episodes of the hit period drama TV series "Mad Men." The premiere date for the second half of the show will be on Sunday, April 5 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on AMC.
A lot of fans considered "Mad Men" Season 7B as a whole new chapter considering that the show went off air for a year.
Any concrete details on what to expect during the show's final run has yet to be unveiled. Nonetheless, series creator Matthew Weiner spoke with TV Line to say that the remaining episodes could be treated as "spinoffs."
"I can't wait for people to see [the final episodes]," Weiner said. "It's going be weird to actually get to the point where there is no more new ones. The spinoff, right now, is these last seven episodes, as far as I'm concerned."
He went on to say that fans should never miss one bit of it as "each one of them feels like a finale."
"What an incredible journey this has been. I take great pride in what the entire 'Mad Men' team was able to create episode after episode, season after season," Weiner stated. "We sincerely thank the fans for joining us on this ride and hope it has meant as much to them as it has to us."
