In 2013, the Campbells' father, Eddie A. Atkins, passed away after a battle with stage four cancer. Before his death, the duo, who often refer to themselves as the Marys, filmed the emotional funeral service for their father.

Just days after his death, Tina Campbell gave an emotional interview on her show.

"I was very hopeful that God was going to heal my daddy and I was going to be able to see him for a lot longer. But a few days ago my dad went to heaven," a tearful Tina told cameras. "So we're trying to make sense of everything and prepare to celebrate his life."
