Michelle Williams Says Kelly Talked Her Out of Botox

Michelle Williams, one third of the R&B group Destiny's Child, recently revealed that fellow group member Kelly Rowland is the reason she has not had cosmetic surgical enhancements.

Williams, 32, recently opened up about wanting to get botox injected into her face. However, it was 32-year-old fellow singer Rowland that convinced her to do otherwise.

"I was going through a moment, looking in the mirror, and I was like, 'I need Botox,'" Williams recalled to StyleBlazer.com recently. "I was telling the girl that I need Botox, and Kelly was like, 'Girl, hush. Just go somewhere and get a facial.'"

Williams decided to follow her friend's advice.

"Sure enough, I went and got a facial and it really made everything that I disliked disappear," she told StyleBlazer.com. "She was right."

Williams says she is in a good place after a stint on Broadway and is currently preparing her upcoming solo album "Journey To Freedom." However, the singer revealed that she was not always so happy when looking at her own reflection.

"I'm happy. When I tell you I actually like who I see in the mirror, because for a long time it wasn't like that," Williams said in a recent HipHollywood.com report.

The singer has been vocal about being in a state of depression previously.

"I've dealt with depression," the 32-year-old said earlier this year in a Huffington Post report. "I had to choose to get out of bed and do whatever I needed to do to be happy."

Williams recently spoke about overcoming toxic relationships aiding in promoting a happier life.

"When you get rid of, and get out of toxic situations, or remove toxic people out your life, you gotta move forward, and you can't have dead weight," Williams said in the recent HipHollywood.com report. "I love you but I gotta go. Sometimes you feel like this process is lonely. This world is lonely as far as trying to be an artist, but sometimes you got to be alone for a season."
