Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez: Playboy's New Targets? (PHOTOS)

Following controversy for featuring Lindsay Lohan in a photo shoot, Playboy is now rumored to be after Disney stars, Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez.

Playboy, however, is being fiercely criticized by those who are saying the move is immoral and would tarnish the stars’ images permanently.

Now Magazine reports that Playboy is willing to pay Cyrus nearly $2 million, although they also reported that Playboy thought it would be unlikely for either star to agree they added that “Miley's marijuana controversy gave her a bit of bad girl edge,” and the magazine is hoping that it could convince the Hannah Montana star to continue in that downward moral spiral.

The magazine also suggested that Playboy would controversially be interested in other Disney stars as well. However, many feel this is a step too far and that it is ethically wrong for Playboy to target young Disney stars in this way.

“The most important public relations are personal public relations,” DailyBrett said on his blog. “Once a reputation and brand is tarnished, there will never be total redemption.”

A Facebook group was also developed titled “Boyott celebrities who show immoral values.” One group member wrote: “No one should allow their children to go to any movie, or do anything that would hold this person up as role model,” after the discovery that Lindsay Lohan would pose for Playboy. “We need to find out the entertainment venues giving her contracts, and boycott them until they fire her.”

Cyrus, daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, became popular with her Hannah Montana television series on Disney. Controversy surrounding her began after Vanity Fair released photos which some said were too provocative.
