'Orphan Black' season 4 spoilers: Will Delphine live? New season promises a new mystery

Last season, fans of the hit show "Orphan Black" were treated to a jaw-dropping finale that sets up the main storyline for the upcoming season. It was shown that Delphine (Evelyn Brochu), the scientist doctor girlfriend of Cosima (Tatiana Malansay), was shot at the very end of the episode, leaving everyone wondering who shot poor Delphine in the first place.

In the previous season, fans were introduced to another set of clones that wreaked havoc on the lives of Sara and her family. These clones were all male and called each other brothers. They created chaos wherever they went and were a part of project Castor, the opposite of project Leda that created Sara and her sisters.

In the upcoming season, we will see more surprises for the characters as the writers are developing the scripts for the next season. This could mean anything for the Leda or Castor clones as fans will be treated to some more crazy and explosive events that are sure to drive viewers insane and keep them hooked all season long.

The new season will give fans of the show more important details on Kira's (Skyler Wexler) backstory and attempt to explain why she does what she does, in a way that does not involve science, which is what makes her character so human.

The event that has fans in a tizzy is the shooting of Delphine during the last episode, leaving everyone wondering if she is dead or alive. Creators Graeme Mason and John Fawcett find the uproar amusing, telling fans during Comic-Con that no one is really truly safe on the show and that there is a reason why it's a mystery, which left fans groaning but undoubtedly excited for the next season.

Actress Tatiana Malansay said that this forthcoming season, fans will see a change in pace that will be very similar to the dynamic of the first season. "The only thing I know for sure is that it will feel like the pace of season 1. It will have that sort of mystery," she said. Meanwhile, Graeme Mason said that the story's end has already been decided. "When we talk to Tatiana creatively, it's about honoring the characters, especially the new characters, and about finishing the story. Because we know where this baby ends," he said.

Orphan Black has been renewed for a fourth season and will return sometime next year. The clone conspiracy continues on.
