Planning for “Project Philip” in Nicaragua
Nicaragua – The Bible League began plans for evangelism, discipleship, church growth and church planter training in Nicaragua as part of “Project Philip” – its long-range vision for missions across Latin America.
The project, named after the story of Philip and the Ethiopian in Acts 8, goes beyond “providing Bibles;” natives are trained to maintain a self-sufficient ministry within their own nation.
Pastors and church leaders in Nicaragua are eagerly awaiting the tools provided by the Bible League. "We needed this yesterday," said the president of the largest evangelical denomination in Nicaragua.

The Bible League plans to open a new ministry in Nicaragua by February; it is currently seeking a Nicaraguan believer to lead the budding ministry.
Since 1936, the Bible League opened centers in Mexico, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Colombia, and Haiti. A ministry to Hispanics living in the United States was launched last year.
