Pokemon released a new video on their Youtube channel today that many thought was going to be a trailer for the new Pokemon X and Y series; instead they announced the return of the "Gotta Catch Em' All" theme song.

In the video they also announced the Pokemon X and Y code hunt, although no additional information is available.

A new Pokemon series is coming to television this fall and it will focus on the original three games: Red, Blue, and Green.

The cartoon is an anime and will be called "Pokemon Origins" or "Pokemon the Origins," according to Nonfictiongaming.com.

The cartoon will air on Oct. 2 in Japan and will closely follow the original games. The main character's name is even Red; and he will appropriately be rivaled by Green and Blue.

Pokemon Origins was just announced at the Pokemon Game Show in Japan and will run along with Pokemon XY.

More Pokemon X and Y details were leaked when pictures of a Japanese magazine showed a new type of Pokemon and the starters for the game.

The latest issue of Japanese magazine CoroCoro reveals there will be two MewTwo evolution forms, Mega MewTwo X and Mega MewTwo Y, as well as exclusive items in each of the games. Two of those items are Mewtwonite X and MewTwonite Y, stones that will evolve the regular version.
