Prince George 'Best Dressed Royal,' New Poll Finds; Kate Middleton Comes in Second

Prince George has seemingly stolen the spotlight from his mother Kate Middleton. The 11-month-old beat out his mom to become the "Best Dressed British Royal" in an online poll hosted by My1stYears.com. Middleton came in second, while dad William came in seventh.

Ever since George was born, he has been a trendsetter. Blankets seen when he made his first official appearance hours after being born immediately sold out, as has nearly outfit he has been photographed in. The New York Times has even named George a "breakout style icon" among the likes of North West (dad Kanye West and mom Kim Karadashian) and Blue Ivy Carter (dad Jay Z and mom Beyonce).

"Every mother, especially the British ones, dream of dressing their children like the royal baby," Christine Innamorato, creative director of Bonpoint, an upscale children's clothier, told the Times. "He might only be 9 months old, but Prince George is already a trendsetter, just like his mother."

It's been good for British business owners, who hope that one day their clothing will be worn by a royal, guaranteeing an instant uptick in business. Duchess Kate has been rather loyal to British designers and wanting to offer her support to them, whether wearing their outfits herself or putting her son in them. And they could not be more appreciative of the loyalty she shows.

"It's life-changing," Rachel Riley, a designer whose clothing was seen on George in New Zealand, told the Times. "I love to dress my own children, and I love to dress our customers' children. But if you asked me if there was one child I'd like to dress, it would be the next heir to the throne. We've had celebrity customers before, and we've also had royal customers before, but I don't think we've ever had anyone before quite as high profile as Prince George. Being on such a high-profile baby is very good for business."
