'Red Dead Redemption 2' Release Date Update: Launch Set for October 2016

"Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West" will reportedly be unveiled during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in June and released in October this year.

There are several sources saying Rockstar is gunning for a June launch for "Red Dead Redemption 2" to coincide with the upcoming E3. The game, which will finally be available in October, is expected to either live up to the standards of its predecessors or surpass them, according to reports.

The original game came out five years ago, so the next game will reportedly feature a lot of changes both in the plot and the gameplay. Insiders say Rockstar is now in the final stages of development of "Red Dead Redemption 2" and is just making a few tweaks to provide gamers with a spectacular experience, the report details.

Rumor has it that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be set in Japan. However, this may be quite far off because the game usually carries a Western theme, reports claim. Some of the speculated settings for the game are Utah, Arizona, Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, Denver, Mexico, and South Dakota, the report relays.

Another rumor says the upcoming game will follow a time wherein the Old West was still ungoverned by law. The first part of the game will feature the arrival of the railroad and will show the old setting of New York. The game will provide fans with a view on how far the United States has come since the Industrial Revolution began.

The factors that make the game addictive for fans are its story line and amazing graphics. There are those who claim that "Red Dead Redemption" is way better than "Grand Theft Auto."

"Red Dead Redemption: Legends of the West" is scheduled to be unveiled at the E3 in June. The game is rumored to be available for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC in October. The exact release date is yet to be announced by Rockstar.
