Reformed and Pentecostal Christian leaders gathered in Detmold, Germany for the third international dialogue between the two Christian families, from May 25 to 31, 2005.

The theme of this year’s meeting was how Pentecostal and Reformed Christians discern the will of God through the Holy Spirit as they seek to follow Jesus Christ and to witness to the presence and coming of God’s kingdom, according to the WARC.

The dialogues and presentations focused on the differences and similarities between the Pentecostal and Reformed traditions’ approach to the Holy Spirit. By the conference’s end, four papers on the topic were submitted on the topic.

The meeting was the third in a series of international dialogues on “Experience in Christian Faith and Life” that began in 2002, according to WARC. An initial round of talks on “Word and Spirit, Church and World” took place between 1996 and 2000.

The next session of the Pentecostal-Reformed international dialogue is scheduled for May 2006.
