Dan "Dano" Daru, a regional reporter for local station KDVR-TV, was attending the Fall Harvest Festival in Platteville, Colo., on Sept. 15 when he decided to interview a young boy, roughly age two, who he described as "Drew the Farm Kid."

In the video, the eccentric reporter crouches next to the disgruntled-looking boy, and as he begins talking to the toddler, the child changes his expression from one of shock and horror to one of fear and annoyance.

As "Drew the Farm Kid" begins to cry, Daru receives flak from the news team back in the studio, telling his fellow anchors: "This is terrible, I love that kid."

"Way to go Dan, way to go. Way to make a baby boy cry on live television," one anchor says jokingly to Daru.

Daru then attempts to soothe the boy's angry demeanor by dancing for him and singing a song from the movie "The Wizard of Oz."

The boy turns away, still crying, as he sits perched in his father's arms.

"Let's just cut that while we're ahead," Daru's fellow anchor laughs.

The video of the incident has gained a fair amount of circulation on the Internet, with 300,000 views on YouTube.

Several viewers have expressed amusement at the boy's bewildered expression as the reporter approached his stroller.

"Love his face! Priceless!" commented one reader on the Daily Mail article and video.

"That look on the baby's face has me crying with tears of laughter," commented another viewer on YouTube.

Other viewers were amused with the reporter, Dan Daru, who evidently exhibits a strong, comedic personality on camera.

"Dan Daru is one of my favorite anchors ever, one of my only reasons to watch the news in the morning. So glad this got posted so the entire world can see how awesome he is," commented one viewer on YouTube.
