'Revenge' Season 3 Spoilers: Victoria Traps Emily With Irresistible Bait

"Revenge" returns to ABC this Sunday with its latest installment "Allegiance" with fans anxious to learn Emily Thorne's fate.

Emily, portrayed by actress Emily VanCamp, is being set up by Victoria, according to the synopsis released for the dramatic series this week. More information about this Sunday's show was revealed in the promo, which takes the "Revenge" cast to the racetrack. In the clip, Emily and Victoria are dressed to the nines while watching the horses, and it is immediately obvious that they are no longer playing nice.

"Emily, what an unpleasant surprise," Victoria says during the sneak peek at "Allegiance."

Also during the episode, Emily learns more about the identity of a key conspirator against her father. The promo reveals that the red marker is back, indicating that Emily has a new target. Moreover, during "Allegiance," Conrad warns Aidan that someone is after him, and Emily confronts the duplicitous Pascal.

The synopsis for "Allegiance" on TV Guide reads: "Victoria is confident Emily will take the bait when she sets up a trap for her. Meanwhile, Emily uncovers the identity of one of her dad's main conspirators."

During a recent interview, VanCamp opened up about what it is like playing Emily on the nighttime soap opera.

"I always feel like I'm playing a character when I'm in a beautiful dress with my hair coiffed," she told GQ. "I like getting down and dirty. It's really fun. There's nothing better than setting an a------'s house on fire. It's those moments when I think 'I love my job!'"

Meanwhile, "Revenge" has not yet officially been renewed for a fourth season at ABC. The network will not make that decision until May after a presentation to advertisers. However, it is very likely that the dramatic series will make a fourth season since it garners one of Sunday night television's top ratings.

Furthermore, producer Sunil Nayar has signed a two-year deal with ABC Studios as the official showrunner of "Revenge," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"Revenge" airs on ABC Sundays at 10 p.m. EST.
