Samsung Galaxy J5 Images Leaked

Six months after news emerged Samsung had trademarked the "J5" name, leaked photos and specs of what is allegedly the Samsung Galaxy J5 have appeared online.

Leaked images and specifications of what SamMobile.com points out to be the Samsung Galaxy J5 appeared online after live images were sourced out through a Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 Chinese TENAA certification.

In January 2015, the South Korean electronics manufacturer was rumored to be focusing on its new smartphone lineup, and applied for a trademark for their Galaxy J line, which reportedly included four handheld devices, from low to high end models, SamMobile.com wrote.

Leaked images and specs of what is purportedly the Galaxy J5 have emerged to confirm speculations forwarded by the Samsung firmware portal after they posted images of the mid-range handset supposedly powered by a 1.2GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset.

The Galaxy J5 will have 1.5GB of RAM with 8GB internal storage expandable via its own microSD. The phone is said to come complete with pre-installed apps, and boasts of a 5-inch 720p display which reportedly boots using TouchWiz-ed technology.

Running on a 2,600mAh battery, the Galaxy J5 will have a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing shooter.

While the phone is yet to be officially announced, specs point out the J5 will be running Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box, and will feature 4G LTE support.

The mid-range handset features a generic design with a polycarbonate body and a removable cover at the back.

According to the leaked specifications, the Galaxy J5 will make its debut together with the higher end Galaxy J7, which is rumored to feature a 5.5-inch 720p display.

As both smartphones have the China Mobile logo embossed at the back, they are likely to be launched in China in the very near future.
