Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Release Date Arrives in Select Countries, Pre-Orders Available November 14, 2014

Samsung's "Limited Edition Concept Device," the Galaxy Note Edge, is now available in select countries. Countries included to get the phablet are India, Australia, Singapore, Germany, the United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Russia, Spain, and France among others. As a limited edition device, the Note Edge will only be sold in limited quantities and at a premium price.

While similarly priced as the Galaxy Note 4 at around $950, the Note Edge's main selling point is its curved screen design, which allegedly can be used as a standalone screen for different purposes such as highlighting sports scores, stock info, or trending topics. Even as the main screen is covered, users can still see useful information through this curved screen.

Those in the U.K. can pre-order the phone starting Nov. 14 through the Carphone Warehouse and the Samsung eStore.

Only Vodafone has confirmed that it will be stocking the device but there are no reports yet as to how much it will cost with the carrier. Afterwards, the phone will be available through selected retailers on November 28.

The Galaxy Note Edge will be sporting a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen with a display resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. Inside the handset will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset with a quad-core 2.7GHz processor and an Adreno 420 GPU.

The handset will be available in 32GB or 64GB variants both with 3GB of RAM and microSD support of up to 128GB. Out back is a 16-megapixel camera and a 3.7-megapixel snapper up front.
